Sunday at New Life we read a letter from Connie Alber (Jim Alber’s wife) sharing a little bit of her thoughts on the past couple of weeks. Jim has had two long brain surgeries and is recovering from them in Rockford. Below is the letter Connie wrote to the congregation of New Life:
June 3, 2012 (3AM)
I just want to thank everyone for all the prayers, love and support! I never knew it was possible in such a trail to feel Blessed and Highly Favored , but I do! God is So Good! I have seen and felt so many blessings and miracles in this trail! God really does work though doctors, nurses and even other families. I never knew it was possible to feel such a connection with other families that are going through the same thing or worse! We spent many hours in waiting rooms. I was blessed by these families. We shared our sadness and were happy for each other when things were going well. We even shared church and worship with these other families right there in the waiting room. Wow! God is good!
I believe and have a peace in my heart that Jim will recover 100%! Please pray for Jim for strength, courage, Peace and comfort. The rehabilitation process may take a lot of work, but Jim has great faith, a great attitude and he still has his sense of humor. Praise God!
Please pray also for my kids and myself for continued peace, strength and courage!
Love in Christ Jesus,
Connie Alber
